Frequently Asked Questions
IV Hydration Therapy
What is IV hydration therapy?
Intravenous (IV) vitamin therapy is a safe and effective method for delivering vitamins and minerals directly to your bloodstream. This method bypasses the digestive tract which allows for 100% absorption of all nutrients, making them immediately available for cellular use.
How does it work?
You will complete paperwork. The IV solution will be prepared. Your arm will be prepped in a sterile fashion, and an IV will be placed and secured. The IV solution takes about 30-60 minutes to complete. Once the IV solution is completed the catheter will be removed and the IV site covered.
What are the benefits of IV hydration therapy?
There are many benefits, which include but are not limited to:
- Nutrients are immediately available for cellular use
- Safely delivers higher doses of vitamins that would not be tolerated if taken orally
- Boosts immune system to help prevent or treat illness
- Increases energy
- Slows the effects of aging
Is it safe?
Yes! We only use reputable and accredited compounding pharmacies for our ingredients. These infusions are administered by licensed skilled IV specialists.
Are there side effects?
Bruising or bleeding at IV site, warming or cooling sensation in arm, chest or stomach, tasting the vitamins or having vitamin smell in your urine. Our licensed staff are trained to manage all side effects that may occur.
What can I expect during my treatment?
Most of our IV drips take anywhere between 30-90 minutes. During this time you can relax, recline, read, listen to music on your headphones, and just take time for yourself.
How often do I need treatments?
For best results we recommend weekly or bi-monthly infusions
How soon will I feel the effects?
IV hydration goes straight to your bloodstream bypassing the GI tract and allowing 100% absorption of nutrients. You can feel the effects within an hour of treatment.
BOTOX®
What is BOTOX® Cosmetic?
It’s the first and only treatment FDA-approved to temporarily make moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines look better in adults. Treatment requires minimal downtime. You can return to your daily routine immediately after you leave your specialist’s office.
How does BOTOX® Cosmetic work?
BOTOX® Cosmetic targets one of the underlying causes of frown lines, crow’s feet and forehead lines — the repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, smiling and raising the eyebrows over the years. Your specialist will inject these muscles with BOTOX® Cosmetic to temporarily reduce muscle activity. You will begin to notice a visible smoothing of the frown lines between your brows, your crow’s feet lines and your forehead lines.
Will I see results quickly? How long does BOTOX® Cosmetic last?
You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours, with full results in 30 days, with results lasting up to four months for moderate to severe frown lines. Remember that results vary from patient to patient though, so your physician will plan your next appointment based on your results and aesthetic goals.
What areas of the face can be treated with BOTOX®?
Botox can be used to address lines and wrinkles on a number of different facial areas, including the forehead, eye area (crow’s feet), and lip lines. It may be injected to soften dimpling of the chin. Botox can also be injected into the muscles of the jaw to help alleviate pain from teeth grinding or TMJ or for a jaw slimming effect. Some of these treatment areas may be considered off-label.
How soon will I see results?
While the experience of each patient may differ, it usually takes 3-5 days to see the effects of BOTOX. For some, it may take up to 2 weeks to realize the final effects.
Are there side effects?
Side effects include bruising, swelling, redness, or tenderness around the injection site, all of which will resolve without intervention after a few days to a week.
Should I do anything to prepare for the treatment?
A week before the treatment most physicians will advise patients to stop consuming alcohol or taking medications or supplements that thin the blood like aspirin, ibuprofen, Gingko Biloba, or Ginseng. This will help minimize bruising after the procedure.
Dermal Fillers
What are injectable Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are gel-like substances that are injected beneath the skin to restore lost volume, smooth lines and soften creases, or enhance facial contours. More than 1 million men and women annually choose this popular facial rejuvenation treatment, which can be a cost-effective way to look younger without surgery or downtime.
How can Dermal Fillers enhance my appearance?
- Smooth out lines around nose and mouth (a.k.a. marionette lines, smile lines, and parentheses)
- Enhance & restore volume to sunken cheeks or temples
- Diminish vertical lip lines
- Plump & enhance the lips
- Smooth out a chin crease
- Improve symmetry among facial features
What should I expect during treatment?
Depending on the product and the areas treated, you should be able to notice results immediately after receiving filler injections. Some patients experience mild bruising and swelling, but these are temporary and should subside over the days following treatment.
How long do the results last?
Hyaluronic acid fillers tend to be the most temporary option, and therefore are often recommended for first-time filler patients. These will typically last from 6 to 18 months. Injections to the lips will wear out a little faster than those to the nasolabial folds.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage
What is Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)?
Manually draining the lymphatic system to clear stationary fluid in your body which increases your immune response by defending your body against illness and disease Regular lymphatic treatments can:

When can I have Manual Lymphatic Drainage after cosmetic surgery?
Usually within the first week postoperatively.
What is a Manual Lymphatic Drainage treatment like?
Gentle, rotating, pumping motions will be applied with hands. You may experience mild discomfort. The MLD is performed in the front and back of the body and only the area being worked on is exposed at any time.Typically each session lasts 40 minutes.
Body Contouring/Sculpting
How long does a body sculpting treatment take?
Depending on the type of treatment, your body sculpting appointments may take anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour or more. You can usually plan on coming in for 4-8 appointments before the treatment is complete, and will usually see full results over the next 3-4 months.
Is body sculpting safe? Does it hurt?
Body sculpting is non-invasive and involves little to no pain. Side effects to body sculpting procedures are very minimal, usually consisting of minor pain, swelling, or a warm feeling on the treated area.
How should I prepare for body sculpting treatments?
- Increase your water intake for 2 days beforehand. Because radiofrequency targets the water in fat cells, keeping hydrated before and after your appointment will help the effectiveness of the procedure.
- Keep your treatment areas out of direct sunlight for a week beforehand. We don’t want any sunburns!
- Avoid wearing makeup or deodorant on your treatment area. These might irritate the skin during the procedure.
Injections
What are Lipotropics?
Lipotropics are essential amino acids that enhance the liver’s ability to break down and metabolize fat. The liver is primarily responsible for regulating body fat, which is why you won’t see significant weight loss results if your liver is slow to process fats.
How do Lipotropic Injections help weight loss?
The Lipo-B Injection is a specific mixture of compounds closely related to B-vitamins that may help to reduce excess fat in certain areas of the body, as well as increase metabolic activity and energy.
- Choline- Metabolizes fats in the liver and gallbladder.
- Inositol- Regulates serotonin and insulin levels to stabilize mood and reduce feelings of hunger.
- Methionine- An antioxidant that helps break down fat molecules.
- L-Carnitine- Metabolizes fats and enhances energy levels.
How much weight can you lose with Lipotropic Injections?
You can expect a gradual transformation of your body when you combine lipotropic injections with a regimented diet and exercise plan. Because body types vary, some people will lose weight faster than others, but in general, most people report losing about 2 to 4 pounds per week.
How often should I get Lipotropic Injections?
For maximum weight loss, we often recommend weekly lipotropic injections. These injections give your amino acid levels a boost, but those levels will return to normal within about a week, so you’ll need to replenish the nutrients in order to maintain the enhanced fat-burning they provide.
Where are Lipotropic Injections administered?
Do Lipotropic Injections have side effects?
Some temporary side effects are possible, including allergic reactions, gastrointestinal discomfort, headaches, lightheadedness, malaise and fatigue
What is PRP?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is an injectable treatment by which a person’s own blood is used. Platelets are vital in the process of tissue healing, and the growth of new cells. PRP thereby promotes collagen production, regenerates the skin tissue, and essentially re-energizes your cells into rejuvenating themselves. The release of growth factors amphiphiles the healing process. PRP softens fine lines and wrinkles, tightens the skin, and improves skin tone and texture.
How is PRP administered?
The treatment of PRP involves a fraction of blood, collected or ‘drawn up’ from the individual patient into a syringe. The collected blood is then spun down in a special centrifuge to separate its components. The platelet rich plasma is then reinjected, and/or micro-needled back into the skin.
How long does a PRP treatment take?
Typically, a PRP treatment takes between an hour or two to complete. This timeframe includes an additional 30 minutes for the blood to be drawn and spun in the centrifuge, and topical numbing to be applied.
Do PRP injections hurt?
Some mild discomfort may be felt while the PRP is being reinjected. The sensation typically felt is a burning or tingling sensation. This sensation only lasts a few minutes after the PRP injected. We ensure our patients are comfortable throughout the entire PRP treatment and apply topical numbing cream and ice to aid any discomfort.
When will I begin to see results from a PRP treatment?
Generally, patients notice tightening and a more even tone to their skin in a week or two after PRP injections. These results continue to build for up to 6 months after treatment.
How long do results from PRP injections last?
Results vary due to the individual’s natural variation in quality of Platelet Rich Plasma, as well as their lifestyle. While we cannot stop the aging process, we can slow it down. Results from PRP injections can be extended with proper at home skincare maintenance.
What areas can I treat with PRP injections?
Technically, PRP can be used to treat areas of the body. For cosmetic purposes, PRP is most popularly used to treat the face and neck.
Is there any downtime associated with PRP?
There is no downtime associated with PRP injections; However, after your treatment, your skin may be red. This is normal and to be expected. Redness usually lasts from one to 24 hours. You may also have a little swelling in some areas.
How many PRP treatments will I need?
Results can be seen after one treatment, but the exact amount of treatments needed varies from patient to patient. Generally, 2‐3 treatments are advised, but more may be indicated for some individuals.
Are there any side effects or possible risks to PRP injections?
The most common side effects associated with PRP injections are mild to moderate swelling and redness.
What is Sclerotherapy?
Sclerotherapy is a medical procedure performed to eliminate spider or varicose veins. During the sclerotherapy procedure, a sclerosing solution is injected into the problem veins. This solution causes an irritation to the inner lining of the vein, ultimately causing it to collapse. Over time, the treated vein fades away enough to not be seen.
How is a Sclerotherapy procedure administered?
After cleansing the area, your provider will use a very fine needle to inject the solution into the affected vein(s). After treatment a small bandage is applied.
Is there any pain with Sclerotherapy? Will anesthesia be used?
A topical numbing agent may be used in patients but is not necessary.
When can I expect results?
Final results can be expected within three to six weeks. For slightly larger veins can take several months, and many patients require more than one treatment.
What are the possible side effects of a Sclerotherapy treatment?
Mild swelling, stinging or pain at the sites of injection.
What kind of aftercare is required following Sclerotherapy injections?
We will advise you to wear compression garments following your sclerotherapy procedure. This is to help speed up the healing process and improve your results.
Lymphatic Massage
What is Manual Lymphatic Massage?
Manual Lymph Massage helps to move the fluid by gently pumping it back into the lymph vessels, reducing the swelling, retention of fluids and pain after the surgery. Without Lymph Massage, inflammation can evolve into fibrosis (a permanent hardening of the tissue) OR a seroma (pocket of clear serous fluid ).
How many treatments will I need?
This will vary and depend upon the type of cosmetic procedure. Some patients get 6-10 treatments post-operatively. If multiple procedures and liposuction is done simultaneously 10 or more sessions may be necessary.
QWO Cellulite Treatment
What is QWO?
QWO is the first and only FDA-approved injectable for moderate to severe cellulite in the buttocks of adult women. The enzyme in Qwo is called CCH, which stands for Collagenase Clostridium Histolyticum. This is an enzyme that dissolves the kinds of collagen (mainly type one and type three collagen) that comprise those fibrous septae that cause the dimpling appearance of cellulite.
How does QWO work?
This is the first ever minimally invasive injectable procedure that releases fibrous septae enzymatically by specifically targeting types 1 and 3 collagen. The injectable is targeting the bands beneath the skin surface directly, which results in the smoothing of the skin for the improved appearance of cellulite.
The area for treatment will be marked. Photos will be taken. The provider will inject those targeted areas (dimples) with QWO injectable. You do not need anesthesia (the treatment is relatively painless), and you can leave and go about your normal routine.
Are there side effects?
Like any injectable treatment, there is a risk of swelling and bruising at the injection site. With QWO, you can expect bruising to last up to two weeks, so plan your treatments accordingly. If you’re heading out of town for a beach weekend, you may want to pack a sarong, or plan your treatments after a booked vacation.
When will I see results?
QWO Package requires a total of three sessions, spaced 21 days apart for a lasting result of a year or more. Each session takes about 30 minutes. Visible results may be achieved in 10 weeks. In clinical studies, women received 3 treatments of QWO, 21 days apart.
